I was just trying to activate a prepaid card I don’t need or want a card in the mail when I already purchased a card at the store

Multiple levels, phishing on many accounts. Misleading help. Just ask yourself, what’s a company with the words “American” doing in another country.

They are a scam don’t put money on card or they will take it!!!!

The last thing this company wants to do is ANYTHING that involves following g the procedures that by federal law their suppose to be bound to, Including but certainly not limited to (G.A.A.P.) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You purchase a card and the moment you put funds on it they will inevitably (in every case) will end up retaining %42 of deposited balance. Customer service is a nightmare!

This is a nice bank to use

I have been with this card for two years now get my direct deposit on it. But every time I get a refund on this card, it takes two weeks or more to get it. I called customer service. They keep me on phone for 29 minutes to tell me the same thing they tell me every time.. Customer service is probably the rudest people I’ve ever talked to. We had 16 people going to GOLF TRIP. We got rained out one day. Got a refund all 15 people on my golf trip. Have got their money back and done with it. what they wanna do with it, ME the only one with this card still waiting and still will be waiting a while and they will not do nothing about it. It should be against the law for people to hold your money like this. I could go on with other stuff that they do that’s pretty shady but I know one thing they don’t care about you. They’ll sure take the money out instantly, but they won’t give it back to you. But like I said, my hands are tied helpless. They’re not gonna do nothing about it even though I need the money very badly. They’re still gonna hold onto it once the 3 to 5 day process do it again it’ll run another 3 to 5 days pretty sorry of them. Be my last time. Dealing with it though. I’m gone.

I opened an account with them put money on it after an hour they temporarily locked my account. When I called them they cannot tell me why they locked my account and they cannot refund my money. Kindly refund or release my funds!!!

Please do not use this card. They are horrible. The customer service number they have is horrible they cannot help you. The only thing I got was oh you cannot use them because they don’t have clearance. The email they provided for customer service is just as bad. It took me forever to get my money. You cannot use Apple Pay because they do not have security clearance what ever the heck that means. I tried paying a bill using ACH and Serve denied it because of another reason. I took my money out using cash app and I promise to never come to this card again. Honestly the people who are leaving good reviews I swear are fake. They are the same reviews over and over.

So difficult to get your money and the fees are outrageous. You get charged taking money out of the account and putting money into the account. Do not get a gift card from them either as soon it’s active you have a certain amount of time to use it before they charge you a inactivity fee Ended up closing account with funds still in it.

I received this card from JH & it was the worse decision of my life!!! Getting your money off your card is almost impossible. I HATE I USED JH FOR MY REFUND THIS YEAR AND WILL NEVER MAKE THIS MISTAKE EVER AGAIN….. SERVE is the absolute WORST card ever!!!

Very easy and simple and also very safe to use

I got the card and I put $30 dollars and after paying the in store fee it still took $9.95 just because and as soon as I tried to use it refused to let me log in to verify the card to use it on my phone but then the app wouldn’t work and all the people I talked to I could not understand and just kept repeating words it overall was just a big scam

I bought a card and filled it up with 80$ dollars but after giving they’re website over and over again my card number and security code they are not willing to activate it, so be careful not to buy a card from them.

i just bought this card and it’s terrible I paid $20 for this card in a ga station just for it not to work. They are all scams don’t fall for it.

Have had this card for years and just got the app and it's been simple and convenient to use. Has direct deposit option which is great.

I’ve had this card for over 10 years and it’s been fantastic especially getting direct deposit. You’ll receive your payment faster then anyone or any other card, but if you don’t have money coming through the card Fee’s of course will get you. So just know about terms and conditions before you sign up ! Like all things though.

Did a ach transfer and it has not been released yet don’t use this card for anything I did the transfer on the 19th of Wednesday here it is Wednesday and nothing !!! I have called numerous of times and no one has helped

By far one of the worst cards company I’ve ever used they make you wait so long and everything always has a hold or pending transaction and it takes longer than two days to actually get the funds to to use them. I would not recommend this for anybody honestly you are better off getting taxes to your debit card or credit card

This app has had “technical difficulties” for the last 3 days and I can’t get my Tax Refund out and I need it desperately using the Money Out option to pick up at a location rather than using an ATM! 0 stars!

My card is blocked due to a atm withdrawal I can’t get a whole to customer service because there isnt a option to I highly wouldn’t recommend this because now I’m lost out of $2000. I will never use this service again

I have no major issues I love the fact that using direct deposit for my jobs I get paid on Wednesdays between 10:27pm-10:32pm but the only small thing I don’t like is if I order something online or order food or an uber the card charges me an additional fee depending on the amount of the transaction and that fee goes on hold until the transaction completes then it is reflected back into your balance so other then that I would recommend this to someone.

I bought their reloadable card at the store, but to use the card I have to registered. After registration I was charged a monthly fee the same day without any notification. I only wanted to used the card once in order to send my little sister money because she doesn’t have a bank account. I don’t understand how they charge you monthly fee the same day you registered. If only i give the a negative ⭐️ that’s what they deserve.

got a card, declined everywhere. ordered new card and it also declines everywhere. can never get a hold of anyone on the phone and when you do they’re not helpful and you can’t understand them.

I’ve had it for awhile and I feel American Express look after their customers.

This card has been a mainstay in handling online interactions for twelve years. In 2015 my wallet was stolen. There were multiple charges made on my AMEX Serve card. All charges were reversed on my card in a timely manner. Would be nice if it had a chip, but ease of use is still the same!

First of this app is a complete joke. It doesn’t respond to our requests. Claims to be able to talk to customer service but the number is just an operator /automated response system who can’t even help . She just repeats what you all ready know. Very frustrating nor to be able to access your money the way you want to or freely . Please report to BBB . Cause art is point it’s giving fraud.

First off, support can’t do anything to help you. They are just there to talk to you and tell you what you can’t do. Second, you will be riddled with texts verifying you’re trying to make a purchase everywhere you go. Particularly trying to use Apple Pay. Speaking of Apple Pay, you can’t even use Apple Pay online anymore. Just blocked. Used to have AWESOME features where you can create sub accounts for children, significant others, assistants… not anymore. Used to have AWESOME goals feature. Nope. Not anymore. It’s officially pointless. I’ll just be using my regular local banking app I guess. OH and there is no chip? Only swipe? Strange.

This card is terrible, if you buy it intending to use it at an atm don’t! After you already purchased you can’t even use the card to open an account it’ll always get denied this is a scam !!

This app is such a scam if I could give them a zero stars, I would literally nobody came to help me in customer service. There was nobody on the line. I don’t know why they still have this useless app everywhere on their stores. This card literally lets you buy once and then steal all your money I will never be buying from this company ever again beware before buying useless stuff from a useless company.

Money stealer!!! Barely even activated this card (wouldn’t let me register tho) spent $30. Few hours later when I wake up their monthly fee is charged for $9.95. I tried customer service which took me forever to get ahold of and it was an Indian woman who acted like they didn’t understand what I was talking about and just told me what I already knew about the card. I am highly displeased and I want my money back!!
